Blue Bloods follows the lives of the NYPD's First Family of Law Enforcement: the Reagans. Frank, the Police Comissioner and son of former PC Henry Reagan, must balance his duties of running the largest police force in the world and being his kids' boss. His daughter Erin is an Assistant District Attorney, son Danny is a senior detective and fellow Marine Veteran, and new Harvard Law grad turned cop, Jamie all swirl through this family drama and passionately defend their city from harm. The Irish-American family is deeply rooted in their patriotism, passion, and love of family.

Did You Know?
The table of Frank Reagan where all reunite for the family dinner is a long rectangular table, in straight line with the double door entry to the room, and all Reagans sit down to table always in the same place. From left to right, the order is Frank taking the head of the table (the farthest to the door), followed by Linda, Danny, Jack, Sean, Henry (taking the other head of the table, the closest to the door), Jamie, Nicky and finally Erin, located between Nicky and Frank. It implies that all the family are sit down in relation to Frank by his age, the elder closer and the younger farther (but Nicky, sit down before Jamie by her condition as daughter of Erin). It implies too what if Joe Reagan were still alive, his place at the table would be between Erin and Frank (making that had four Reagans in both sides of the table, left and right). See more
Most of the police cars used in Blue Bloods are replicas, bearing the obvious wrong font for the 'NYPD' lettering on the side, having blue lights and bearing the modified NYPD logo that's also worn on the replica uniforms. But in several episodes you can see the replica cars mixed with real-life NYPD police cars. Most of the time the precinct number on the real-life cars are not shown, since the NYPD doesn't allow real-life precinct numbers being used in TV shows. See more
